The Top Five Worst Christmas Adverts 2006!
5/ Woolworths. Buy the new Westlife CD, its brilliant! (Apparently). The dog puppet must be obeyed.
4/ The Next Years Hamper Ads Can you really trust these people? Do you really want your Christmas food supply to be manufactured for you? These annoying adverts that claim they will give you the ‘best Christmas ever!’. I don’t think I can trust these people after what happened to a mate of mine’s ex partner and his family, when they were swindled out of £800 spent on goodies and nada in return.
3/ Asda Much like the Hamper ads, ASDA also claim you will get the best ‘commercial’ Christmas ever if you the consumer will come into one of their stores to spend lots of money on gifts their advert will tell you to buy.
2/ Argos Don’t shop for it! Argos it! It wasn’t that long ago that Argos claimed to be ‘Britain’s Biggest Toy-store’. I guess Toy’s R Us doesn’t exist then. Like Asda, Argos also claim that if you sheep along to their greedy commercialism and spend lots of money you will have ‘the best Christmas ever’
1/ Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesses. An advert that has been so hard to escape from due to the frequent TV-time it has been given. I can’t get the song out of my head grr.
