2006! The year that I imagined about 20 years ago through reading the Transformers comics serial Target: 2006. 2006 didn’t have hover-boards or a giant transformable Autobot City but it brought forth a games console named like pee, a 6th Rocky film and the re-union of Degeneration X.
My journey in the wrestling business took a rough but eventually better turn when I broke free from UCW and their satanic ways and joined up with the ever popular promotion across the bridge “Celtic Wrestling!”. I wrestled my last match in April (for UCW) and returned in July as a commentator and media producer (Celtic Wrestling).
I’ve worked on some great projects with Celtic Wrestling in particular the internet TV show CHAOS which has proven pretty popular. I also released the DVD ‘Seasons Beatings 2005’ which ironically enough was a show UCW plotted to destroy last Christmas and now as a funny turn of events I end up editing and producing it for Celtic Wrestling after jumping ship.
I changed my occupation from a Teaching Assistant (and the school equivalent of Nacho Libre) to a Media University student. I still remained within the educational system but with a different workload if you see what I mean. Being at University as a student presents itself as a whole different can of worms than that of being at School as staff.
I miss the kids at the school but I didn’t miss the dictatorship from certain staff members who were jealous of my popularity and tried to make my 5 year Teaching Career a misery. This tale of dictatorship and corruption is something I have put behind me for the time being, but will be quite something that makes great reading and possibly great cinema!
With 2006 on the verge of being gone – I am grateful to just still be around in one piece and near enough intact. I may not have a high paid job at the moment but I am content with my new Santa hat wearing Grimlock and the ever support of my friends, family and God.
2007 is something I am most looking forward to especially films wise: A fourth Turtles film out this Easter, A live action Transformers film out before my 30th birthday in July and a Fantastic Four sequel also set as a summer smash hit!
2007 will mark my 30th year of existence. I don’t fear turning 30!
Goodbye 2006. Hello 2007!
